Commercial Office Interior Designer
We are looking for You! If “You” happens to be an experienced interior design professional who has a three or more years experience with office furniture “You” might be the “One!” The ideal person to join our team will have a strong attention to detail, is process-oriented, is able to juggle multiple projects, is a master at written and verbal communication, and has a ”in it to win it” attitude. You will be responsible for all aspects of office furniture design including specifying products, creating floor plans and layouts and creating presentations. A strong candidate will be proficient with AutoCAD, CAP Studio, and PowerPoint. We strongly prefer you have a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or related field and have systems furniture design experience with Herman Miller, Steelcase and Haworth.

Interior Design Position
We are interested in discussing a full time Interior Design position with a person whose previous experience is consistent with the directives of our award winning architectural firm.
Each candidate must have proven programming, planning and design skills along with strong presentation, organization and communication abilities.
EDUCATION
Minimum – Bachelor of Fine Arts or Science of Interior Design from at least a CIDA and / or FIDER Accredited Institution.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Minimum – proficiency in PC with expertise in AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
QUALIFICATION
-Diverse knowledge and experience on large commercial, multi-use and institutional projects: Expertise in space planning, programming, design development, project management and graphic design.
-Strong written and oral communication skills: Proven track record of success in creating and presenting presentations to a diverse range of prospects and existing clients.
-Proactive approach towards new tasks and problem solving; Skilled at identifying problems, gathering and analyzing information and pinpointing resources and solutions.
-Ability to collaborate effectively within a team: Strong team player with enthusiasm and drive that is reliable and committed to the highest work ethics.
-Ability to develop solid working relationships that are responsive to the client’s needs and expectations.
-Basic project management including scheduling, team management and documentation.
-Experience and knowledge of international measurement systems and units.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum – 8 years experience including domestic, national and international projects.

Interior Design Sales Consultant for Ethan Allen Design Center in Skokie, Illinois
Self-motivated entrepreneur who is tech savvy, has an eye for color, design and home furnishings, as well as the ability to sell design and build rapport with clients to keep them coming back.
- Demonstrates ability to practice residential interior design including the ability to design and create projects using technical and creative skills in color and space planning.
-Entrepreneurial attitude and approach with demonstrated strong design and furniture sales experience, customer service, communication and organizational skills.
-Proven experience with in-home consultative design service or related home furnishings and decor industry. Must be able to work holidays, evenings and weekends.
-Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and provide own transportation to and from customer’s homes.
-A minimum of four (4) years, combined, practical interior design experience and interior design education; two (2) or four (4) year degree from an accredited institution
