New Outreach Partners Committee

The Outreach Partners Committee is looking for a couple of ASID members to be part of this new Committee.  The mission of this committee is two-fold.  First, it fosters the development of strategic alliances between ASID with other groups that are in some way related to the design industry. Examples of such groups are USGBC and AIA.  We are looking to expand ASID’s reach in the community through these partnerships.  Second, as a means to help form these partnerships, the Committee is responsible for organizing two powerful networking events in 2012, that are both educational and conducive to networking.  Venues selected for this year’s events include the Nickerson Mansion (Driehaus Museum) in Chicago and the Mayslake-Peabody Estate in Oak Brook.  If you are interested in being part of this committee, please contact Mario Guertin at mario@paintpartner.com.

Legislative Committee

Legislative volunteers help with a variety of projects:

• Event planning for Wine and Chocolate Tasting Benefit
• Lead the legislative webinar discussion quarterly
• Submit paperwork to obtain CEU credit for legislative webinar
• Strategic planning for grassroots support
• Draft various 1 paragraph articles on legislative topics
• Contact key allies, supporters, and VIPs of interior design industry legislation
• Draft info sheets on importance of interior design legislation to professionals

Membership Committee:Please contact Ashleigh Lessard at ashleighlessard@gmail.comThe Membership Committee meets once a month to reach out to new members by sending new member packets and calling new members to welcome them to the chapter.  This committee is a great way to get to know our chapter and all of the wonderful benefits of being a member.  It is also a great way to get involved by meeting and welcoming new members.

Recognition Committee:Please contact Ashleigh Lessard at ashleighlessard@gmail.comThe Recognition Committee meets once a month to submit current members for chapter and national awards.  This is a wonderful way to get to know lots of chapter members and recognize them for their dedication and hard work.
