Creating designs of distinction for over 35 years, Susan Fredman, one of Chicago’s most prominent residential interior designers, is founder and CEO of her namesake firm, Susan Fredman Design Group. As one of the largest design firms in the Chicagoland area, Susan Fredman Design Group has earned a national reputation and established full-service offices in Chicago’s River North, Michigan’s Harbor Country and in Milwaukee( Whitefish Bay, WI) with corresponding retail stores at each location, Susan Fredman at Home.
Fredman was recognized as one of ten nominees to the first annual Chicago Inetrior Design Hall of Fame in 2012. She is the celebrated author of At Home with Nature: Great Interiors from the Great Outdoors and The Power of the Powder Room. Fredman has shared her expertise as a speaker at the National Conference for the American Society for Interior Designers (ASID), as well as at NEOCON, the industry’s largest tradeshow, where she participated on a panel at the Lapchi showroom for INTERIORS magazine.

As a result of her firm’s extensive pro bono projects, Fredman was motivated to create Designs For Dignity. Through Designs For Dignity, interior designers transform the lives of those served by non-profit organizations. Fredman’s dedication to the non-profit sector recently earned her national recognition by Traditional Home magazine; she was one of six women honored as a recipient of the 2009 Classic Woman Award.
