Darlene is a Nationally Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), a Nationally Certified Bath Designer (CBD), and is licensed by the State of Illinois as a Registered Interior Designer. Darlene founded Distinctive Designs in 1990. Distinctive Designs has also been awarded the Small Business Owner of the Year by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Governor's Small Business Person of the Year. Darlene has passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a member of the prestigious American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
